Did you know that every single thought you have or speak sends a signal to your brain and, among other things, lets it know:
(1) what kinds of chemicals to be producing (essentially, the ones that make you feel better or worse),
(2) what kinds of things to notice and find proof of in the environment around you (our brains are amazing at giving us “proof” of almost anything we want to find!), and
(3) what kinds of thoughts you will more likely and easily have again and again and again?!
Whenever you feel an emotion like anger, disappointment, discouragement, or sadness, it’s a good time to check in to be sure you aren’t perpetuating the emotion with your thoughts. Feeling and honoring all of your feelings is essential to joy, and yet most people get stuck there much longer than is healthy because of their thinking.
You get to write the story of your life, and there are countless stories (thoughts) you could choose in any moment! Which one are YOU going to choose?!
