Every word we think and speak carries a vibration and has a correlating response in our bodies.
And we can use this to our detriment — or advantage.
Sometimes, naming the more challenging feelings is what actually frees them — just like a child who relaxes when turned towards with loving acceptance to be heard and seen.
In these moments, it’s what brings healing, liberates shame, and allows for support.
And, sometimes, it’s only in naming the challenge that we clarify what isn’t working — so we can open up possibilities for creative solutions and the pathway for what does.
There is absolutely a vital place for this.
Other times, however, repeating words about what’s NOT working >> it energetically and physiologically syncs us up with that very thing we want less of in our lives.
Therefore, something I love to do and you may too:
Continually notice which words feel good to think and speak — and grow a whole lot more of them.
When trying this on, I recommend simply starting to get curious after you’ve thought or spoken something and ask yourself:
“Do I feel better or worse from doing so? Did it connect or disconnect me from my heart and true self? Am I now more or less aligned with Love?”
If you feel worse, taking a moment to give thanks for something is usually a good reset to help get back in the flow of an upward spiral.
And then… simply try again. Is there something that would make it feel even a tiny bit better?
And if you do feel better, take note!
What a gift that we get to choose the words we think and say — and that we can discover the ones that elevate us, inspire us, open our hearts, awaken solutions, and bring more peace, resolution, healing, joy, and deep breaths to life.
I also call this finding our Joyful Word Birds — the ones that open and expand the wingspan of what’s possible and make our hearts soar.
If you are inspired, I so warmly welcome you sharing below any words that simply feel good for you to say, think, or hear.
Big winged LOVE to you, sweet friends! Xoxo
Abundant Love and Joy,
