How does affiliate tracking work?
When you are approved as an affiliate, you will receive a unique affiliate link that you can share with your audience.
When someone clicks your link, a small piece of tracking information called a cookie is placed in their web browser.
A cookie simply helps our system remember that you were the person who referred them.
If that person later enrolls in one of our programs within the cookie window, the system recognizes your referral and automatically credits the sale to you.
You do not need to do anything else. The system tracks everything for you.
What is a cookie and how long does it last?
A cookie is a small piece of tracking information stored in someone’s browser after they click your affiliate link.
It allows our system to remember that you referred the person who is visiting our site.
Our affiliate cookie lasts 30 days.
This means if someone clicks your link and then enrolls in one of our programs anytime within the next 30 days, you will receive credit for the sale.
For example:
- Someone clicks your affiliate link today
- They explore the program and think about it
- They return two weeks later and enroll
Because they originally clicked your affiliate link, the sale is credited to you.
How and when are commissions paid?
Affiliate commissions are paid monthly after the refund period has passed.
This ensures that commissions are only paid on completed purchases that have not been refunded.
Payment details and payout history are visible in your affiliate dashboard.
Can I send people to different pages or only the checkout page?
You can send people to any of our pages, including program pages, blog posts, or informational content.
As long as the visitor clicked your affiliate link first and later completes a purchase during the cookie window, the sale will be credited to you.
What happens if a customer requests a refund?
If a customer receives a refund within the program’s refund period, the commission for that sale will not be paid or may be reversed.
What happens if someone clicks another affiliate link?
Our system uses what is commonly called a last click tracking model.
This means that if someone clicks multiple affiliate links before making a purchase, the commission is credited to the most recent affiliate link they clicked.
For example:
- Someone clicks your affiliate link
- A few days later they click another affiliate’s link
- They then enroll in the program
In this case, the commission would be credited to the most recent affiliate link they clicked.
This is the standard approach used in most affiliate programs and helps ensure tracking remains accurate and fair.
What if someone clicks my link but buys later?
As long as the person purchases within the 30 day cookie window, your referral will still be credited to you, even if they leave the site and return later.
For example:
- A visitor clicks your link today
- They leave the site and think about it
- They return within 30 days and enroll
The sale will still be credited to you.
