Have you ever noticed that thoughts and feelings of anxiety, worry, fear, stress, sadness, frustration, anger, disappointment, and so on…
…often simply generate more thoughts and feelings of anxiety, worry, fear, stress, sadness, frustration, anger, disappointment, and so on?
One of the many benefits of a morning spiritual practice is that, before all of the other voices within us have set in and responded to a situation, we get to meet and greet whatever it is with Love and higher wisdom and let that be what makes sense of whatever is occurring.
In other words, if we don’t pause to find our center, to let Love, our inner knowing, or our spiritual support system (i.e. God/Universe/Spirit/Nature/etc.) be the lens through which we interpret whatever is occurring…
…our inner voice of fear can quickly step forth to be the one that responds to fear itself — giving it even more evidence of how it’s real.
Our inner voice fueled by frustration or anger can react, ruminate on, and perpetuate the very story it created, without coming up for air to see a wider view.
And dear sadness, if left unattended, can add even more sadness onto itself — if not accompanied by something sacred that holds its hand.
Love and our inner/outer spiritual connection (in whatever way is uniquely meaningful for you) has so much to say to center us, comfort us, reassure us, guide us, encourage us, realign us, and reconnect us to our hearts and truest selves.
It’s simply not always the loudest voice — unless we create the space for it to enter and be heard.
Life can be inevitably challenging for everyone. May you too find ways to minimize unnecessary suffering and expand the capacity for greater peace and joy…
…which — I’ve surely found — Love can point us back to, again and again.
Abundant Love and Joy,
