A 3-step process I love to do multiple times a week whenever something less than optimal is occurring in ANY life area…
(sharing here in case it can ever support anyone else )
STEP 1
I bring the challenge out into the light of love, where it can be seen, heard, acknowledged, and given access to creative solutions.
Rather than denying, judging, resisting, ruminating about, or simply letting the challenge *unconsciously* play on repeat,
(where it has big impact but not big awareness)
I name it and give it a voice.
For example, you could simply ask the question:
“What isn’t working as well as I’d like in my life right now?”
And it can be ANYTHING, no matter how big or small.
Now, it has moved from the unconscious or less-conscious into our loving awareness, where it can be met with creativity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and intention…
…so that the VERY thing that hasn’t been working optimally…
…becomes part of paving the way for what CAN.
In other words, tucked inside of challenges are often the VERY solutions we seek (if we look at them in a way that unlocks this).
So step one is to actually name whatever isn’t working.
However, the key is not to stop here or see it as a dead end.
Instead, it’s to get curious and ask the next question…
STEP 2
“What would I love to feel, experience, create, and embody instead?”
Recognizing whatever is not working (in step 1) actually provides such illuminating contrast to help awaken us to what we really value and want to experience MORE of — and this is powerful to get clear about!
Which then leads us to…
STEP 3
Now we get to use our challenges to help make life (and the world around us) more beautiful.
We get to grow the good.
Our next question — to unleash new possibilities becomes…
“What are changes I need to make (i.e. get to make), both internally and externally, to get closer to whatever I answered in step 2?”
Ahhhhh, so much more liberating, empowering, inspiring, expansive, and enjoyable than just feeling stuck in the challenge.
Cheers to upward spirals and closing the gaps between what isn’t working and what CAN!
May any challenge you are holding right now — when held with loving attention and intention…
…end up revealing to you some inspiring off-ramp that, while perhaps not making the challenge disappear completely, infuses a whole lot more grace, hope, aliveness, and possibility into your life.
Sending mega love as you do! Xoxo
Abundant Love and Joy,
