What Our Sessions Look Like

Combining science with intuition, extensive study with years of personal experience, and transformative coaching and counseling with energy healing and somatic psychology techniques, we will help you experience, integrate, and embody your joyful transformation at the deepest level possible, as quickly as possible.

We are in awe of the human capacity for healing, growth, and transformation and have devoted decades to studying everything we can get our hands on when it comes to creating the most effective, ease-filled, and lasting positive changes.

The vast body of knowledge that makes up our Joy Potential toolkit allows us to get you results easily, quickly, joyfully and in a lasting way.

how sessions are

Here are just a few of the many modalities our team loves and offers:

We will create a custom combination that uniquely resonates with you and matches your needs and goals.

You don’t need to know ahead of time which of these you want to include in your sessions, and we often combine them. Every time we meet, we will go over your goals for the session and decide together what will best get you the results you want. We always welcome and honor your preferences and wishes for how we spend our time together.

transformative life coaching and counseling

Transformative Life Coaching and Counseling

We’ll work with you on both the WHY and the HOW.

The why allows you to understand yourself, to recognize what has and hasn’t worked in your life and why, to feel intimately connected to your personal life story, and to experience tremendous personal growth, awareness, and healing.

The how allows you map out and achieve the vision for where you would love to be in your life, what you want to feel and experience more of, and the goals you want to accomplish (both inner and outer).

emotional freedom technique

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)

EFT is a form of psychological acupressure that uses a gentle tapping technique to clear the emotional roots of a myriad of challenges.

EFT often works when nothing else has. It can dramatically relieve emotional disturbances along with many physical symptoms. It often works within minutes, and its positive results are usually long lasting, if not permanent. EFT is considered by many therapists and coaches as one of the most effective, efficient, quick, gentle and lasting, techniques they’ve ever seen.

healing sessions reiki

Reiki

Reiki is a simple, effective, non-invasive, and powerful form of energy healing. Reiki involves a practitioner placing his or her hands directly above or lightly on the body (clients remain fully clothed).

Reiki accelerates the body’s innate healing abilities, strengthens the immune system, relieves pain, creates balance, clears toxins, enhances personal awareness, relaxes, promotes creativity, opens the heart, treats both symptoms and causes of illness, releases blocked and suppressed feelings, aids spiritual practice, and much more.

neuroscience of happiness and positive psychologyneuroscience of happiness and positive psychology

Neuroscience of Happiness and Positive Psychology

Through the science of optimal human functioning, you will understand how your brain actually works and how you can start using it to get wired for greater peace and happiness and to support you like never before.

hypnosis

Hypnosis

Most of us humans know what we should be doing differently to get different results, and yet we still don’t do it. Why? The answer is usually in the subconscious. Hypnosis, as well as the other techniques we offer, allows us to effectively train your subconscious towards positive and helpful thoughts you want.

early childhood regression

Early Childhood Regression

This will help you reclaim parts of yourself, return to wholeness, upgrade your mindset (so you aren’t running on old, limiting, outdated beliefs about yourself), and feel a tremendous sense of relief. Some of our practitioners are also specifically trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work.

somatic psychology and mindfulness

Somatic Psychology and Mindfulness

While some challenges we can think our way out of, there is much more to the story, and our thoughts alone don’t often create the shift we really need. Instead, our bodies and nervous system hold immense knowledge and wisdom. You will experience great insights and breakthroughs from these techniques and will learn to become present to yourself in a way that is loving, compassionate, and full of inner guidance.

subconscious reimprinting

Subconscious Reimprinting

Our current reality is largely influenced by old imprints in our subconscious. If our imprints are out of date, so is everything we think, feel, and see. This leads to inner conflict, self-sabotage, and (unknowingly) having our “joy brakes” on. The powerful Reimprinting Joy Method, developed by Christine Eartheart, Founder of Joy Potential, allows us to create new imprints that better match who you are now and who you want to be, not simply the messages you’ve heard in the past or what you’ve experienced before. This technique often gets seemingly miraculous results, helping clients reclaim their wholeness, inner light, and joy in profound and lasting ways.

emdr

EMDR

EMDR has become wildly popular in recent years because the results are undeniable for helping to heal trauma and transform anxiety. Using bilateral brain stimulation in a very gentle way, you will be able to effectively process stress and difficult memories and return your nervous system to a state of calm, peace, clarity, and ease.

Meet the founder of joy potential

Christine Eartheart

I am deeply grateful for the wondrous and ever-growing collection of transformational tools I have received and discovered over the years (listed above) and love sharing them in ways that serve others. I have been studying personal development and psychology and seeing clients for 20+ years, and I feel exuberance about the vast potential every one of us has for growth, healing, and genuine happiness.

It is my passion to help people end their painful inner conflict and self-sabotage, transform old, outdated beliefs and patterns holding them back, and experience true freedom, wholeness, and joy. I am dedicated to helping people know their unique gifts and brilliance, to harvest the wisdom and opportunities in their challenges, and to reconnect to their purpose, magic, and inner light.

I have been honored to serve and support thousands of clients and students over the years in my private coaching practice and in hundreds of circles, retreats, and trainings I’ve been fortunate to lead. I adore seeing, hearing, and celebrating people deeply and with great love, and it is my favorite thing in the world to share authentic, inspiring, heart-centered moments with other human beings.

Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner

(Sessions available virtually or in person at our Bloomington, IN healing center)

With tremendous kindness, wisdom, depth, and warmth, Andrea has dedicated herself to accompanying clients on a journey of personal discovery, deep healing, and self-inquiry, in order to reconnect to their inherent wholeness and peace.

Andrea earned her Master’s degree from Ohio University and is a graduate of the three-year Somatic Experiencing training, a modality developed by Dr. Peter Levine.

Somatic Experiencing with Andrea can be beneficial for anyone experiencing the effects of trauma or chronic stress. It is particularly helpful for those who feel that traditional talk therapies have not fully addressed their needs. If you’re looking for a holistic approach that integrates both body and mind, Somatic Experiencing might be a good fit for you.

Andrea’s various professional experiences as an art historian, published writer and researcher, school co-founder, and teacher have paved the way for a coaching career that is rich in curiosity, compassionate interest in others, and an insatiable love of learning.

When not supporting clients, which is work that she finds both inspiring and deeply rewarding, Andrea can be found behind the lens of her camera or enjoying time with her husband of 35 years, their two adult daughters and new son-in-law, and their pets, Poppy and Arlo.

Bethany brings her steady, calming attention, gentle curiosity, and nurturing energies to her work in sessions. She believes that healing our external lives and our relationships begins with turning in love and compassion toward ourselves, and to this end she will work collaboratively with you to help you attend deeply to what is going on internally, honor the integrity and wisdom of what is heard, reparent the wounded inner child, and begin meeting previously unmet needs. Clients often report that the self-focused work they have done with Bethany is transforming how they feel in their relationships and other life contexts.

Bethany has worked with many presenting concerns, including but not limited to anxiety and related disorders, depression and other mood disorders, relationships, student concerns (having worked extensively with college and graduate students, both American and from many countries of origin), parenting concerns, grief, spiritual confusion, obsessions and compulsions, addictions, PTSD, and relational trauma/attachment wounds. Bethany is multiculturally oriented and seeks to understand and treat presenting concerns in the context of the whole person and clients’ overlapping identities.

Bethany graduated with a master’s degree in counseling from Indiana University’s Counseling Education Program and holds associate licensure in the state of Indiana.

In addition to working alongside clients in therapy, Bethany enjoys many other life activities like gardening, puzzling, writing poems, playing tennis, and doing all kinds of things familiar and new with her beloved husband and son. She also enjoys getting immersed in a book and looking for bright pebbles in the creek bed.

Kate believes that people make sense.

Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with you?” she is more interested in understanding the patterns that have developed through a lifetime of relationships, experiences, and adaptation. She believes many of the ways people think, feel, relate, and protect themselves once served an important purpose and represent resilience and skills for survival. Therapy offers an opportunity to approach those patterns with curiosity rather than criticism, fostering greater awareness, greater flexibility, and, ultimately, more choice.

Before becoming a therapist, Kate spent ten years as a bodyworker and has maintained a dedicated yoga practice for nearly twenty years. Those experiences continue to shape the way she understands healing. She views the mind, body, relationships, and environment as interconnected, and enjoys helping clients notice the ways these systems influence one another. What can initially feel like a collection of unrelated struggles often begins to make sense when viewed through a wider lens.

Kate works from a trauma-informed, attachment-oriented, and nervous system-informed perspective, integrating principles from Somatic Experiencing®, mindfulness, and interpersonal neurobiology. She enjoys working with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, chronic pain and illness, and the many ways stress can become woven into daily life.

Therapy is not about fixing what is broken, but about creating enough space for people to reconnect with themselves, which is foundational in Kate’s approach. As old patterns soften and new possibilities emerge, clients often find greater ease, deeper connection, and the freedom to become more fully themselves.

She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Indiana University and is currently completing the Intermediate level of Somatic Experiencing® training and anticipates becoming a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) in 2027. She strives to offer a warm, collaborative space where meaningful work can happen—and where, when the moment calls for it, laughter is always welcome.
