The Joy Potential movie/documentary filming has officially begun, and I had the overwhelming honor of spending yesterday in the video studio with these extraordinary, loving, brave souls whose stories deeply moved my heart and who will be featured in it.
If you’ve ever felt…
burdened by guilt and undeserving of joy,
like you’ve made everyone else happy but forgotten yourself,
oppressed by the harsh judgments of others who have tried to quiet your joy,
the weight of trauma that has covered over your joy and disconnected you from it,
the ways comparison and unrealistic expectations rob you from knowing your worth and seeing your light,
the painful incongruence between how the world sees you and the ways you are quietly struggling behind the scenes,
and/or
like the spark from within has become dimmed and dulled from painful seasons and chapters from which you’ve never fully bounced back…
…we are going to get to follow along with these AMAZING spirits as they rediscover and reclaim true, authentic joy.
I feel like the luckiest to have the absolute privilege of journeying with them closely as they do — and am so eager to pour my heart into supporting them in every way I possibly can.
Yesterday was all about hearing a little more about their backgrounds, the places they feel like they’ve lost their joy along the way, and their intentions for the joy miracles they are calling forth.
I also got to interview their spouses, partners, and children — and hear what they wish their loved ones could see more clearly about themselves and get to experience in this life. Those conversations melted my heart.
This upcoming weekend, the 6 featured “joy stars” will join an incredible group of others participating in my annual Awaken Your Joy Potential 2-day retreat, and then we will be in nearly daily contact over the course of 30 days as they unleash the joy within that is beckoning to be remembered.
My abounding gratitude to Henry Malone and Bret Davis Eartheart for collaborating on this project and to these phenomenal participants for following their hearts and saying yes.
It is days like this that I fall so utterly in love with humanity and the human heart and spirit underneath it all — and my deepest wish is that this entire project does the same for everyone involved and everyone it touches.
(And just a little loving reminder, as you move about the world — we all have such a story, and we don’t need to know what it is to simply recognize that everyone we encounter is carrying so, so, so much more than we could ever imagine. I find that we are much happier when we allow our hearts to remember this and keep it close)
Abundant Love and Joy,
