Around my birthday every year (or really any time of year!), I love to especially reflect on my deepest prayer and wish: to be a good steward of this incredible gift of life. 🎁
💓 Here’s a little snippet of what that means to me, in case it is helpful for anyone else… 💓
✨ To awaken each day with gratitude, realizing this life truly is a gift, not a given.
✨ To scan moments, my surroundings, and other beings to look for the good. The good is everywhere — but only if we see it as such. In order to fully receive the blessings of this life, I know I need to continually be on the lookout for them. This I commit to doing with all my heart.
✨ To then intentionally multiply and magnify these blessings by sharing them, spreading them, and using them to love and serve the world.
✨ To celebrate often. Celebration is not to be limited to special occasions or things that somebody else has deemed worthy of excitement. I get to celebrate every small thing and delight in it fully. The more I choose to celebrate something, the more I find there is to celebrate.
✨ To shine my light and express my voice. I wholeheartedly believe there is a light and so many gifts inside of every single one of us — no exceptions. In order to be a steward of whatever calling I’ve been given, I cannot hide or dim my light out of fear or doubt or limiting patterns, as this would be a rejection and robbing of what life has entrusted me with to share. If I can make even one person’s life better from shining, rather than hiding, that is what I am here to do (and believe we ALL are here to do).
✨ To trust the process. Rather than being in my mind thinking I know what is best when it comes to timing or outcome with my plans, I open my arms and heart fully to let life reveal to me all of the *unexpected* gifts just waiting to be recognized and received.
✨ To take inspired action. To not let ideas or insights simply live (and die) inside of me but to turn them into action and bring them to life.
✨ To nurture all my relationships with love, support, encouragement, forgiveness, understanding, acceptance, empathy thoughtfulness, generosity, kindness, and grace. These are at the center and heart of my life. The extent to which I enjoy this gift of life and contribute to it is in direct proportion to the quality of my relationships.
✨ To keep my eyes on what is sacred to me and nurture this connection daily — whether we call that Love, the Universe, Spirit, God, Energy, or Infinite Possibilities. Rather than my life being lived in unconscious reaction to situations or the past or those around me, I want to stay so fully aligned with Love that the actions I take and the responses I choose come from Love and are offered up with Love, for Love.
✨ To be present. To breathe deeply, fully, and often. To pause. To allow my breath to punctuate moments, to fully take them in.
✨ To honor and embrace the entirety of the human experience. To use every experience I’m given, the delightful, the mundane, and the challenging, as an opportunity to learn and grow and evolve into a better version of myself. The more I grow, the more this gift of life gets to grow inside of me and be expressed through me.
✨ To live with great intention — so that I am not simply operating on autopilot but fully awake to the opportunity each day brings: to create, contribute, make magic, give things an inspiring meaning, consciously choose how I want to show up and who I want to be, and continually expand into new and unlimited possibilities.
💓🙏💓🙏💓🙏💓🙏💓
Thank you, Life, (and my amazing parents) for this gift. May I open myself evermore fully to the wonder of it — for the greater good of all. 🌈✨🌟
Abundant Love and Joy,
