As many of you know, my favorite place to live is in the land of possibilities…
…and an unforeseeable, unimaginable miracle recently unfolded!
While on a meditative walk in our beloved forest, an overwhelming prayer came over my heart that I just kept repeating.
It went something like…
“Snuggabella (our precious pup who recently got her puppy wings), I love and appreciate you so much, and we’d love your guidance. Please help send us the perfect dog at the perfect time, in whatever way serves the highest good of all. It can be ten years from now or anytime at all, whatever is the very best. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
I then came in from my walk and hopped on a Zoom meeting with our amazing teammate, Jas.
Jas lives in the Philippines, and I spontaneously shared my computer screen to show her how neat Petfinder is for finding rescue animals around the country.
I did a quick search for poodles (there are hundreds of them)…
…and, on the first page…
…I spot a pup named Angel.
“Ohmygoodnessgolly… who is THIS?!”
I scanned through her photos.
“Jas, I don’t know what’s happening. I have tears in my eyes and chills all over my body. And it looks like Snuggabella is staring right into my eyes.”
We tried continuing with our meeting, but I told Jas “I can’t stop thinking about Angel.” Hee hee.
I didn’t fill out an application but decided to click the button expressing interest.
And, while still on the call with Jas, I received an email in response that went something like…
“Christine, you may not remember me, but I was at your house 12 years ago to do your home visit for adopting Snuggabella. I’ve since opened my own rescue organization, and we are the ones fostering Angel.”
Of course I remember.
So, although I was open to looking all over the country and was really just having fun with Jas, I happened to discover, on the first page, the most darling pup whose name is Angel, whose eyes in her adoption photo looked as if Snuggabella was staring right into mine, and it is through a rescue organization in Kentucky (two hours from us) run by the most caring woman who helped with Snuggabella’s rescue 12+ years ago.
Wowee zowee!
Thank you, Snuggabella, for looking out for us always, in this realm and beyond.
And welcome home sweet home to sparkly, loving, joyous Angel!
Angel came to their rescue in September, starving and fighting for her life, and she turns 11 this month.
We feel like the luckiest ever to spend every remaining moment of her life adoring her, showering her with the abundant LOVE she so deserves, and doing our best to return some of the massive heart-opening joy she brings to us.

Angel also had an injury as a puppy and has the happiest little hop on three legs (the vet says she isn’t in pain and has adapted around it), and she is the epitome of resilience, as dogs often and so brilliantly are. She is an incredible teacher and magical soul.

What a gift it is that, when one cherished pup completes their Earth mission, they create a sacred space for another animal to be rescued.
A true legacy of rippling love.

And I’m sharing this here as a loving reminder for your own heart…
…to leave space for magic…
…to grow the good…
…and to remember that a whole world of possibilities exists (though it requires us to believe in it in order to access it).
Love, Joy, Magic, and Possibility,
